Hyundai Casper Dimensions:
Being a Micro SUV it will be under 4M in length, It will have a length of 3500mm, width of 1590mm and height of 1570mm, taller than the hatchbacks like i10 Nios and Santro. It will have a wheelbase of 2400mm and decent ground clearance too.
Exterior Look of Hyundai Casper:
The Casper is based upon Hyundai's K1 platform, with boxy design, upfront it gets LED lights, below that a headlight unit with circular DRLs around it. Gets a radiator grille which is finished in sliver.
Coming to the side profile, it gets squared wheels arches and side indicator on front arch. It gets dual tone alloy wheels, rear door handle integrated inside the C-pillar. Roof rails on the top and the windows get different look.
At the rear the boot lid gets dual tone treatment, upper half gets black finish and other gets body color. Inside that are LED lights which follows a flow design and down are circular brake lights and down there it gets faux skid plate treatment.
Interior of Hyundai Casper:
There are no pictures of the Interior, but we can guess some features, it will get a decent sized sunroof, connected car technology, a touch screen infotainment system, Dual tone interior scheme. But we have to wait till the launch.
Hyundai Casper Engine and gearbox details:
There are reports that Casper will get 2 engine options, it will get only petrol engine. 1.0-Litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-Litre Turbo petrol engine for the global model, which is already doing its job in Venue, i20 and Verna. Both engines will get Automatic options. There are reports that Hyundai will also provide electric option later.
For the Indian market Hyundai may use the 1.2-Litre naturally petrol which is doing duty on Santro, Venue, i20 and i10 Nios. There is also chance that Hyundai could offer 1.0-Litre Turbo petrol engine. But we have to wait till the proper launch.
Price and launch date:
The Casper will be launched in Korea first and later it will make its launch to India. It will launch next year. Price expectations could range from Rs. 4 lakhs to 8 Lakhs. Still it is very early to judge, lets wait for the launch
Rivals:
The Casper will rival the upcoming Tata Punch (HBX), Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Being a Micro SUV it will offer great practicality, good ground clearance and decent road presence over the Hatchbacks.
