As discussed earlier about the Tiguan Facelift, Volkswagen today launched the facelift version of the Tiguan. The Tiguan is Rs 2 Lakhs cheaper than the pre-facelift Tiguan All-space, as it was a CBU import. The cost as reduced because Volkswagen is assembling the Tiguan locally at Aurangabad plant, India.
Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Exterior changes:
The new model looks similar to the older model, slight revisions here and there is been introduced to make design look updated. Upfront the grille is slightly tweaked with new updated Volkswagen logo, front bumper now blends well with fog lamps with front parking sensors, it gets new sharper LED Matrix headlights. At the side it gets new 18inch alloy wheels. At the rear it gets new slimmer taillights, revised rear bumper.
Overall the Tiguan looks sharper than before, it is a enhancement over the older model. Rest all features from older model like Matrix LED headlights with DRLs, Chrome window garnish, chrome finished grille, LED taillights continue on this new model as well.
Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift Interior changes:
Coming into the Tiguan, you will notice the dashboard is similar to the older model. But it gets new Volkswagen steering wheel, the AC controls now can be controlled by the touch panel, it is been replaced by old AC controls. The gear knob is now illuminated.
Rest all features like 8inch infotainment system, 10inch Digital instrument cluster, 3-zone climate control, powered driver seats, panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, ambient lighting, illuminated scuff plates and many more features continue from older model into this facelifted model.
Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift powertrain and transmission:
The old 2.0L TDI diesel engine is discontinued now, it is been replaced by a 2.0L 4 cylinder engine that produces 190hp and 320Nm of torque. The engine is matted with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. It powers to all the wheels with 4 motion all wheel drive system from Volkswagen.

Tiguan comes with ABS with EBD, 6 Airbags, EDL, ASR, Auto hold function, hill descent control, tyre pressure monitor.
Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift price and variants:
The Tiguan facelift will be offered in one variant i.e. Elegance trim. The pricing of the trim is Rs 31.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom price).
The Tiguan competes with the Citroen C5 AirCross, Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass.
