Maruti Suzuki haven't revealed a teaser or any of its features yet. Still we will try to give details about expected features in the upcoming Baleno 2022.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022 Engine & Transmission:
New Baleno is expected to come with the same 1.2L K12C petrol engine that is present on-sale model. It produces 83hp and 113Nm of torque and it will continue to get 12V Smart mild- Hybrid system by MS, with that setup car produces 90hp and 113Nm of torque. There are reports that Baleno is also likely to get a CNG option. It will be the first Nexa car to get CNG option.
Baleno will be offered with 5 speed manual and 5 speed CVT type automatic transmission options. MS may remove CVT and replace it with AMT gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022 exterior features:
MS as really played with the design of the new Baleno and have redesigned it a bit. Body panels of the car have changed, new design elements and slightly wider when compared to current model.
Upfront the car looks more sharper, gets new headlight units with DRLs. There is now chrome element on the below the grille, bumper is redesigned and gets new fog lamp housing.
At the side there are no major changes, we expect MS will give new alloys with the new Baleno. New Baleno will also get Shark fin antenna instead of a old style antenna.
At the rear Baleno gets new L-shaped LED taillights, Chrome strip which connected both the taillights is been removed and rest all is similar to the on-sale Baleno.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022 interior features:
New Baleno 2022 will get redesigned dashboard and lot of new elements into it. At the center it gets floating 8.0inch infotainment system which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. According to the leaked images MS has redesigned the UI of the system which is different from the SmartPlay studio. The dashboard gets sliver insert and sliver accents on the AC vents, the center AC vents are now placed below the infotainment system and they are now horizontally placed, AC controls too get new design which are inspired by i20. Baleno 2022 gets Maruti Suzuki's new flat bottom steering wheel. The instrument cluster too get new analogue dials.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022 safety features:
Maruti Suzuki promises that they will use thicker steel on the chassis, body panels though it will not make it stronger by great margin. MS should really focus on producing cars which are well built and safe. We expect Baleno 2022 is at least safer than the current model as it had secured 0 stars at Latin NCAP.
Maruti Suzuki is likely to add 6 Airbags as standard across all variants. Rest safety features like ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seats, Brake assists(with mild-hybrid) and more which are already offered on current model.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022 price:
We expect Baleno will be priced between Rs 6.5 Lakhs- 10 Lakhs(ex-showroom). Maruti Suzuki will price the new Baleno aggressively to compete against the other Premium Hatchbacks like i20 and Altroz. Nexa dealerships have already commenced unofficial bookings for the new Baleno, you can book one at your nearest Nexa dealer.
