Safari Dark is all about cosmetic changes, no mechanical changes to the car. Safari dark is finished in Oberon black color, Safari dark looks similar to the Harrier Dark edition. Upfront the Chrome grille is replaced by a gloss black finish, front skid plate will also have black treatment. Chrome surrounds and inserts around the windows & headlight units are replaced by gloss black finish.
Coming to side, Dark edition Safari will get a #DARK badge, 18inch blacked out alloys, blacked out door handles instead of chrome on the standard edition. Interior will also get black color scheme just like Harrier dark.
At the rear only bumper is finished in black rest all will be the same as regular model.
Safari Dark interior:
Safari dark gets all black cabin, Blackstone matrix insert on the dashboard. Gets all black leather seats, Tata calls it Benecke Kaliko Blackstone Leather seats. Tata had launched Gold edition Safari which had new features, those features are been added to Safari Dark as well. Added features are wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, ventilated 2nd row seats(6seater only), Air purifier integrated into climate control.
Safari's some of the features: 18inch alloy wheels, JBL audio system, panoramic sunroof, 9.0inch infotainment system, leather seats, electrically adjustable driver seat, wireless phone charger.
Engine & Transmission:
As said above Safari Dark will not get any mechanical change, it will continue to come with 2.0L Diesel engine which produces 170hp & 350Nm of torque. It is offered with 6speed manual & 6speed Torque Automatic transmission.
Safari Dark price & variants:
Dark edition will cost 20k-72k extra depending on the regular Safari variants. Safari dark will be offered in 6 variants, XT+, XTA+, XZ+, XZA+, XZA+(6seater) and XZ+(6seater). Dark edition range starts from Rs 19.05 Lakhs and goes all the way till Rs 22.51 Lakhs(ex-showroom).
