Any new changes?
There are no drastic changes to the cars in terms of design or features, the only change in the design front is a addon of i-CNG badge on the boot lid. Rest all is similar to the petrol powered Tigor & Tiago. Tata hasn't added new features to it, Tata wants it to keep it simple and doesn't want to differentiate it from petrol model which is a good thing.
CNG variant features:
- Advance ECU which helps to shift between petrol and CNG or vice-versa seamlessly to save time.
- You can directly start the vehicle from CNG mode.
- In case of low CNG, car will shift to petrol mode automatically, user will be notified
- Faster CNG gas re-fueling with NGV1 special nozzle.
- Modular fuel filter that requires only cartilage change instead of entire filter.
Tata Tiago & Tigor major features highlights:
Projector headlights with DRLs, 14inch styled steel wheels, 7.0inch infotainment system, Harman audio powered by JBL, rain sensing wipers, auto AC and much more.
Tata has updated the XZ+ trim of Tigor and Tiago,
Tiago gets:
- Black and Beige interior
- New midnight plum color
Tigor gets:
- Black and Beige interior
- New magnetic red color
- 15inch sliver finish alloys
- Fabric seats
- Automatic headlights and rain sensing wipers
Boot space of Tiago with CNG cylinder is 80L and 205L on the Tigor.
Tata Tigor & Tiago CNG under the hood:
Both cars are powered by 1.2L Naturally petrol engine, which produces 86hp and 113Nm of torque but with CNG it produces 73hp and 95Nm. Both the cars will get 5speed manual transmission. With CNG fuel mileage is 26.49km/kg(ARAI claimed). With loaded CNG, the weight is increased by 100kg overall.
Tiago & Tigor price and variants:
Tiago CNG will rival the Hyundai Santro, Maruti Suzuki Celerio & WagonR CNG. We think Tiago CNG will compete well against other CNG rivals as it is safer among all with 4 star Global NCAP.
