Toyota has revealed some details about the most awaited Hilux lifestyle pickup truck. All the details are been revealed by the dealer documentation. The documentation reveals details like engine, transmission and color options.
Toyota Hilux engine & Transmission options:
Just like the Fortuner Hilux will get a 2.8L diesel engine option which produces 205hp and 420Nm, 500Nm(AT). Hilux will get 2 transmission options, 6 speed manual and 6 speed Automatic option. Hilux will also come with 4WD system with electronic differential locks as well. Hilux almost weighs 2ton+.
Toyota Hilux Color options:
Hilux will be offered with 5 color options, Emotional Red, White Pearl, Super White, Grey metallic, Sliver metallic.
Toyota Hilux confirmed features:
Toyota has confirmed that Hilux will get host of optional accessories. Hilux will get features like LED headlamps, keyless entry with push start/stop button, front and rear sensors with camera, electrically adjustable driver seat, touchscreen unit with Android Auto & Apple Car-Play, multiple Airbags, leather seats and electronic differential lock system.
Just like other Toyota cars, Hilux will be offered standard warranty of 3yrs/1 lakh kms and optional 5yrs/2.20 lakhs kms extended warranty.
Hilux will be assembled at Toyota's Karnataka's plant, parts will come by CKD route and some of the parts will be shared by Fortuner.
Toyota Hilux expected price and rivals:
We expect Hilux will start from Rs 29-30lakhs(ex-showroom), which will under the Fortuner and will rival the only pickup truck Isuzu V-Cross. Toyota will announce the price on January 20th 2022. Deliveries of Hilux will commence in March 2022, booking amount will be Rs 1lakh.
